Hiking does take a lot of endurance. It is a different kind of a workout. Even though I do five-mile runs regularly with two of those miles being uphill, I still have trouble doing a four-mile hike at times. Hiking definitely is a workout that takes a lot of getting used to. I can sprint uphill but hiking uphill can get tiring after a few miles.
It has been nice to find some great food and other supplies to take with me on the hike, to help make getting there a little easier. The journey is great, but admittedly, all of us get tired at some point and we just want to get there. This is especially true for me when I am hiking through a forest that seems like it will never end.
Taking along some dehydrated trail food has been a great way for me to keep my energy up and my spirits up as well. When we are feeling a bit weary, we can just find a cozy spot to sit and enjoy the food. The food is easy to prepare and it works well as a much-needed snack or meal. It is nice to get the trail food online and to enjoy it on the hike.
